Metadata in the DMS Environment is managed through Extended Attributes. As a user scrolls through the Drug Product structure, new metadata groups and attributes become available. These new attribute groups are added at intuitive levels, and provide greater detail about the components within the project. No metadata is mandatory in the DMS Structure, but should be filled out in order to speed along transition of documents from the authoring group to the regulatory team.
