A component package is a way to quickly build out structure for your eCTD. The component package is made up of placeholders. Placeholders are simply holding the place of a folder or document in submission structure. Once you have your structure built out with the component package you may realize that you have missed a few placeholders. To add an additional placeholder, right click on the parent folder of the document and click Add>. Depending on where in the structure that you select, ViewPoint will intuitively give you a list of all relevant placeholders that belong in within that component. For example if you choose to add a document under 1.1 Forms, your list of documents will only be the form documents that belong under that heading.
