Celebrating Consistency

Has your team done something great lately? And by great, I mean…
-Have they consistently met their timelines?
-Have they consistently met or exceeded customer expectations?
-Have they managed to stay under budget?

These routine questions may seem very tactical and somewhat uneventful but they are the foundation of good customer service and should be celebrated. I am not suggesting that you make up reasons to celebrate but I am suggesting that you recognize “consistently good” and the effort it takes to maintain a level of consistency. In today’s business environment where budgets are tight and resources are strained, it may be quite an achievement to meet or exceed customer expectations. And it is definitely worth recognizing and celebrating anything that contributes to your company’s good reputation. Good, reliable service is THE differentiator de rigeur so celebrate, motivate and encourage activities and efforts that contribute to your success.
